Two dates recur. Friday 27 November 2026 is a training day at North, South and Waseley Hills, and Monday 4 January 2027 is one at North, South and Waseley Hills, so most high school pupils in the town do not go back until Tuesday 5 January (South’s until Wednesday 6 January). Waseley Hills labels its 23 October training day “ALL SCHOOLS” and says its training days “may be subject to change”.

Bromsgrove School, the independent school on Worcester Road, runs its own year with three named terms, Michaelmas, Lent and Summer, and a different shape entirely:

That October break is two weeks, not one: day pupils return on 9 November. Christmas starts two days before the state schools and Easter six days earlier. Boarders return the evening before each date above.

The 2028 Easter holiday is the long one: Lent term ends on 31 March and day pupils are not back until 24 April, a break of a little over three weeks.
Boarders and finishing times
Boarders come back the day before day pupils every time: Sunday 6 September, Sunday 8 November, Wednesday 6 January, Sunday 21 February, Sunday 11 April and Sunday 6 June in 2026/27. The school’s calendar puts the start of this October half term at 4.00pm on Friday 23 October for the senior school, with the Prep School going earlier by year group: Years 3 and 4 at 3.30pm, Years 5 and 6 at 3.50pm, and Years 7 and 8 at 4.15pm. Pre-Prep is listed under the same half term.
The next open morning is Saturday 10 October 2026 at 9am, for the Prep School (Years 3 to 8, including 11+ entry) and the senior school (13+ and 16+ entry).
