Avoncroft Museum’s On the Home Front 1940s Weekend finishes today, Sunday 4 October, 10am to 4pm, with the fashion show on this last day. The month ends with the council’s free Halloween Light Trail in Sanders Park on Saturday 31 October, from 5pm to 10pm.
In between, the Artrix has a show most nights and Bromsgrove Sporting play five home league matches. Half term brings family shows and kids-go-free days at Avoncroft. Bonfire night has dates now: Bromsgrove Rugby Club on Friday 6 November, then Wythall Park and Stoke Prior Sports and Country Club on Saturday 7 November. Wythall’s tickets are cheapest until 9 October.

- Catshill’s bonfire night. No 2026 date has been published that we can check. Every confirmed display is on our bonfire night page.
- The Bromsgrove Christmas lights switch-on. The council has not named a date. Rubery’s is listed for Saturday 28 November, 3pm to 5.30pm, on New Road.
- Remembrance Sunday, 8 November. The Royal British Legion has not published the 2026 timings. Last year’s parade stepped off from outside Argos at 10.30am; our Remembrance Sunday page has the 2025 timetable and the village road closures, and will be updated when the 2026 plan appears.
- Bromsgrove Rugby Club fixtures. The club’s fixtures page still points to last season.

Getting there
The Artrix has its own car park on Slideslow Drive. Sanders Park and the High Street are a short walk apart, and our page on parking in Bromsgrove has the town car parks and tariffs. Check roadworks and travel before an evening drive, and train times if you are coming by rail.
